The scribe

Hi, I'm Elijah.

I'm a web designer and developer from Nairobi, Kenya. I love the practical poetry of a well-made interface, and the liberal arts keep my work human.

My approach is mobile-first, lightweight and purposeful. I care about the sentence, the system and the small detail that makes a page feel considered.

Every project starts with a free chat about your business. From there I handle everything: design, development, domain, hosting and launch.

Field notes

Before we begin

Everything clients usually ask before we start. Something else on your mind? Just WhatsApp me.

How long does it take to build a website?
A starter site or landing page takes about a week. A full business website takes 2–3 weeks. E-commerce stores and custom web apps typically take 4–6 weeks depending on features. You'll see progress previews along the way, not just a final reveal.
What do you need from me to get started?
Just the basics: your logo (or I can help create one), photos of your business or products, the text you want (or notes — I'll polish the wording), and one or two websites you like the look of. A short WhatsApp chat is usually enough to kick things off.
How much do a domain and hosting cost?
A .co.ke or .com domain costs roughly $12–22 per year. Hosting for most business sites runs from free to a few dollars a month depending on your needs. I handle the entire setup for you and put everything in your name — you own it all.
Can you add M-Pesa payments to my site?
Yes. The Premium package includes M-Pesa and card payment integration, so your customers can pay the way they already know. I also set up order notifications so you never miss a sale.
How do payments work?
50% deposit to start, 50% when the site is done and you're happy with it. For Premium projects we can split it into three milestones. No hidden costs — the package price is what you pay.
Can you improve or maintain my existing website?
Absolutely. I do redesigns, speed-ups, mobile-friendly makeovers and ongoing maintenance. Send me your current site on WhatsApp and I'll tell you exactly what I'd improve — free.

Bring me a good question.

Tell me what you are making, teaching or trying to clarify. We can decide together what belongs on the page.
